Harper Collins have kindly allowed me to share this high quality recording of Dylan Thomas reading his deliciously wonderful festive story, A Child’s Christmas in Wales. It recalls a time when there were “wolves in Wales” next to a “carol-singing sea” while cheeky boys roamed the streets throwing snowballs at “green eyed cats“. His chaotic house was full of snoring and well fed uncles and aunties lacing their tea with rum because “it was only once a year“.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
This recording is only available on this blog for a short while but after that you can find it on Dylan Thomas:The Caedmon CD Collection Unabridged. The CD is available to customers in the US only.
