England

Dylan was an ambitious writer who felt that in order to ensure his work became more widely known he would need to mix with fellow artists, publishers, reviewers and journalists. With this in mind, at the age of twenty, he made the decision to leave Wales and move to London. The rest of his short life was spent living between England and Wales.

North America

Dylan went on four reading tours of America between 1950 and 1953.  These ‘electrifying’ performances turned him into an international superstar and he became one of the most famous poets in the English speaking world.
