BN43 5WBA full cast of 13 actors is travelling from Swansea to perform Dylan Thomas’ iconic work, Under Milk Wood. We will hear the thoughts and dreams of local characters in Llareggub, a fictional small Welsh fishing village.
They include Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard, relentlessly nagging her two dead husbands; Captain Cat, reliving his seafaring times; the two Mrs. Dai Breads; Organ Morgan, obsessed with his music; and Polly Garter, pining for her dead lover. As the town awakes, we see them go about their daily business, knowing their secrets.
Under Milk Wood has enduring appeal, with its lyrical language depicting the inner world of everyday people. This is a rare opportunity to hear Thomas’ spoken word play performed by actors from his theatrical and poetical heritage.
