The exhibition features the wonderfully vibrant art works by Seimon Pugh-Jones, based around characters from Under Milk Wood. Seimon has been an admirer of the play for many years. 2023 marks the 70th anniversary of both Dylan’s death and the first performance of his renowned play for voices.
Also included will be memorabilia from the 1971 film version with Richard Burton, an original Dylan-based art work by Nicky Wire of the Manic Street Preachers and material from a needlecraft artist in New York (all from a private collection and loaned to us for the duration of the show). There will also be recognition of Narberth born actress Betty Lloyd Davies, who featured in a 1956 production of the play with Donald Houston.
During the course of the exhibition there will be a series of associated events including readings, a podcast, talks and a performance piece and details of all these will follow.
