Set Fire To The Stars Poetry Workshop, Cheltenham Poetry Festival, Online

Write poems that will ‘set fire to the stars’ in response to the lushly lyrical, richly musical and carefully crafted poems of Dylan Thomas.
You will work with Anna Saunders, the author of five critically acclaimed collections of poetry, her latest being Feverfew ( Indigo Dreams). Anna is also the joint editor ( with Ronnie Goodyer ) of the forthcoming ‘Dear Dylan’ ( Indigo Dreams) – an anthology of poems after Dylan, and letters to him. Due out May 14 – Dylan Thomas Day.
How the Workshop will Work
Event opens at 10.45. The workshop runs from 11am to 4.30pm, with a big break for writing11.00am – 12:15pm exploring theme and writing prompts
12:15 – 3.00pm break for writing and refreshment

About the tutor –

( Indigo Dreams) and Fever Few ( Indigo Dreams, due Spring 2021), described by Penelope Shuttle as ‘a beautiful and necessary read’.Anna is the CEO and founder of Cheltenham Poetry Festival. She has been described as ‘a poet who surely can do anything’ by The North, a ‘modern myth maker’ by Paul Stephenson, and ‘a poet of quite remarkable gifts’ by Bernard O’Donoghue.
