Cor Y Boro will be having a Noson Lawen with friends and family. They hope to include much variety and experimentation. It may involve singing, sketches, monologues, instrumental and poetry too. Any language is welcome.
The Borough Welsh Choir / Côr y Boro rehearses at the Borough Welsh Chapel on Southwark Bridge Road, London. The choir won the National Eisteddfod in Liverpool in 1929 and disbanded shortly after WWII. The choir reformed in 2016 and started competing again at the National Eisteddfod, coming 3rd in 2018 (Cardiff) and 2nd in 2019 (Llanrwst). The choir has sung at 10 Downing St, Charles’s 70th birthday party at Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the Wales v Georgia match in the Autumn Internationals at the Principality Stadium, on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show, the Jeremy Vine Show and numerous events for the London Welsh community.
