Project Description
Leeds Library: International Dylan Thomas Day Zoom Event
Date:
Thursday May 14th
Online via Zoom, organised by Leeds Library
Celebrate International Dylan Thomas Day (via Zoom) with the Leeds Library and a bevy of poets on Thursday May 14th at 12.30pm.
It takes more than a pandemic to stop the celebration of the last bohemian, the Rimbaud of Cwmdonkin Drive.
Thanks to the wonders of Zoom we can invite you to join us in listening to some of Dylan Thomas’s best poetry read by local poets who will add a gem or two from their own work. There may be a few surprises too!
The event is free with a donate option (proceeds to the Leeds Library). Please register on the Eventbrite link here and nearer the time you will be sent an invitation with the Zoom details needed to join the celebration. There will be two Zoom sessions of 40 mins each, the first starting at 12.30pm. Your registration here will gain you access to both sessions.
Come and join us, let’s let the sun in but remember, as Dylan himself put it, “mind he wipes his shoes”.
This is a free event with a donation option. All proceeds will go to the Leeds Library.
