  • Welcome to Dylan Day, an international day to celebrate the life and work of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, which is held each year on 14 May, the date Under Milk Wood was first read on stage at 92Y The Poetry Center, New York in 1953.

    We shall be playing Dylan Thomas recordings during the early evening.

    At 7pm we will be serving a traditional and hearty 3 course Welsh meal cooked by Noel.
    Bookings essential.

    The menu will be:
    – 7pm Leek & Potato Vegetable Cawl;
    – Roast Leg of Lamb with honey & Rosemary, a medley of Roasted vegetables, seasonal greens, honey carrots and rosemary gravy.
    – Followed by King Arthur’s Pie with whipped cream.
    – After the meal we will also showing a recent BBC adaptation of ‘Under Milk Wood’ at 8pm.
