  • The Boat House Bed and Breakfast in Laugharne has its very own link with Dylan Thomas. Apparently when the place was still a pub (The Corporation Arms) Dylan used to sit in what is now the Scarlet Room, telling stories in exchange for a little refreshment. Many locals fondly remember the days when you could play darts, drink, or have a New Year’s party. It’s a bit more sedate now, but it’s still a great place for Dylan Thomas fans, walkers (who can go on his Birthday Walk which starts over the road on the estuary), history buffs and anyone looking to escape. You can even book the Scarlet Room and soak up the literary vibes.

    To mark International Dylan Thomas Day, the Boat House Bed and Breakfast will be serving a special ‘Dylan Day’ breakfast.
