Project Description
Colin Edwards Collection Digitisation, Blog Launch, Online
Date:
Thursday May 14th
The ‘Colin Edwards Collection’ that is housed at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth has been chosen to be digitised as part of the ‘Unlocking Our Sound Heritage’ Project which is led by The British Library and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund:
The collection includes a very personal, heart-warming and enlightening look at the life of Dylan Thomas. It has recorded interviews with family and friends of Dylan Thomas shortly after his death in the 1950s. By putting together this archive, it was Colin Edwards and Dylan’s mother, Florence Thomas, hope that this would give a comprehensive understanding of the man behind the words.
On May 14th, International Dylan Thomas Day, a blog will be published on the National Library of Wales website looking at and exploring the Colin Edwards collection of recordings.
