Adam Caird and Charlotte Caird – A Child’s Christmas in Wales, by Dylan Thomas, with narrator Mark Tattersall
A festive musical treat from one of the UK’s leading contemporary string quartets. This wonderful adaptation for strings and narrator of A Child’s Christmas in Wales chronicles Dylan Thomas’s own childhood memories and remains one of his most popular and loved works. Stef Conner’s new piece is inspired by Benjamin Britten’s much-loved work of a similar name. In the extraordinary Sunjata’s Time Malian composer Diabaté magically blends the rich musical heritage of West Africa with the sounds of the western string quartet.
