From his first visit to Polgigga in 1936, a young Dylan Thomas became a frequent visitor of West Cornwall. During this time Dylan was befriended by Joe Martin, a rooky reporter on the Cornishman newspaper, who recorded this relationship and the many adventures the two young men had together.
This performance walk commences in the spring of 1936, with Dylan Thomas arriving in Cornwall and ends in 1938, when Dylan and Caitlin tied the knot. There will be; a visit to Miss Findlow’s herbalist store, where Dylan experienced the aphrodisiac properties of their Herb Champagne, stop-offs at Dylan’s favourite pub, storytelling and re-enactments and will end at the Lobster Pot Hotel, where their reception was held.
Each walk will last for 90 mins.
