SA2 0RA - 18 POEMS – WHO WROTE IT?
Find out at a book launch with Oliver James Lomax at the Birthplace (Free event – refreshments available)
When a poet entitles his first collection ’18 Poems’ and gets it published by Dylan’s Bookstore with the cover in the style of Dylan’s famous first book then he must be good – or a bit cocky! Then he has the cheek to do a book launch at Dylan’s birthplace – well!!
Oliver James Lomax – the Bolton poet – has enjoyed rave reviews for his first book describing him as a mixture of Simon Armitage, Allan Bennett and *Jarvis Cocker* and it doesn’t disappoint.
The book has been illustrated by the artist Dan Llywelyn Hall who produced a series of paintings in response to the poems.
Oliver will read from this new collection in addition to other poems and will be signing copies of the book at this event.
In something of a head to head we shall also have readings from Dylan’s ‘18 Poems’ which was penned in the Birthplace and we’ll have a rare copy on display.
A great opportunity to enjoy an evening of contemporary poetry but be quick – places are limited and need to be booked in advance on 07506064973 or info@dylanthomasbirthplace.com
