Fitzrovia
London,
W1T 3BFThe historical area of Fitzrovia, London, has a rich cultural past and fascinating stories attached to its nightlife (and indeed daylife).
Starting at Goodge Street Underground Station, we explore the lives of actors, musicians, artists and literary figures that made their home in the pubs and cafes of Fitzrovia. Come and meet the people like George Orwell, Dylan Thomas, and Augustus John who shaped the Bohemian nature of this fascinating area. Finally, we end our walk with a short tour inside the beautiful Fitzrovia Chapel, once part of the famous Middlesex Hospital, which continues to support artists and musicians by hosting exhibitions and concerts.
The walk is presented by Camden Tour Guides together with the Fitzrovia Chapel. Your guide will be David Brown. He will be wearing a Camden Tour Guides Association badge. Please note that this tour will only run if we have 10 people signed up to it. If we need to cancel, we will tell those people who have already registered.
