    The Port to Maghera walk on Saturday March 17th will visit the ruins of the cottage where Dylan Thomas stayed during the summer of 1935.

    Ardara’s renowned Walking Festival with Short, Medium & Strenuous Walks.

    Saturday 17th March
    A Walk Port to Maghera
    One of the best coastal walks in Ireland.
    13Km, 620m ascent, 7 hours

    A walk Port to Glenhead
    Another stunning coastal walk
    7Km, 350m ascent, 4/5 hours

    Sunday 18th March
    A Walk Sliabh Tuaidh
    Starting at the beach in Maghera and climbing to Trig point @ 511m
    8Km, 550m ascent, 5 hours

    A Walk Granny Glen
    Starting at Leac Chonaill going up the mountain path and finish at the head of the Granny Glen
    6Km, 300m ascent, 3 hours

    Meeting for all walks at Ardara Community Centre at 8.30am.
    Leaving 9.00am sharp.

    Registration:
    Friday night 8pm to 10pm in the Heritage Centre.
    Saturday Walks must be booked by 10pm Friday night.

    Price:
    €20 per walk. €30 for two walks. Children free with an adult.

    Gear:
    Walking boots, rain gear and spare warm clothes. Warm drink and food.
