  • Westwood Branch Library, Los Angeles, present A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas, other holiday readings/poems read by Joe Praml.

Joe Praml will read Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales, holiday poems by other famous poets, and Joe’s own piece, The Night That Changed the World, that describes Christmas from its origins and how it became the holiday we have today. A Child’s Christmas in Wales is one of the best-known holiday readings, along with Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, O. Henry’s “The Gift of the Magi,” and Clement Clarke Moore’s “A Visit From St. Nicholas.”

Joe Praml, former London-based actor, is an international member of the Dylan Thomas Society. Twice while on theatrical tours of Wales, Scotland and England in London-based productions, Joe played week-long engagements in Swansea and got to know the city, some of Dylan Thomas’ favorite haunts and visited his home and work place in Laugharne.
