  • Watts Hall Community Players’ reading of Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales is back! On Sunday, Dec. 19, at 3 p.m. in Watts Hall, 174 Main St., a gathering of readers of all ages will retell this heart-warming tale of Christmases gone by.

    All your Christmases will live again in the magic of Thomas’ poetic language while local musicians Playin’ Possum add to the charm. To extend the homegrown holiday spirit, the reading will be followed by carolling at 4 p.m. among the twinkling trees on the Thomaston mall. There may be visitors from the North Pole and participants can even hope for a little snow!

    All cast members will be fully vaccinated. Masks are required for audience members and the audience size will be reduced to 40% of capacity for appropriate distancing.

    Admission is free.
